Bake-Off information:

In 2017 nearly 40,000 patients visited our County Hospital. The Emergency Department alone cares for over 50 people, on average, each and every day!

Great patient care relies on dedicated staff equipped with the right tools i.e. heart monitoring systems, vital signs monitors, defibrillators, colonoscopies – these are critical to caring for people at Prince Edward County Memorial. We must remind you, any government does not pay for these vital tools.

For 2018 the PECM Hospital Foundation needs to raise nearly $255,000 to provide equipment for our hospital and help realize the vision of building a new hospital in Prince Edward.

The Prince Edward Agricultural Society, through the Picton Fair Bake Off Challenge, has raised $10,210for priority medical equipment needs at our County Hospital since 2008.  When the PESMH Foundation updates their donor wall, Prince Edward Agricultural Society will move to the next gift range of $10,000 to $24,999.

We want to continue to support our community hospital and are inviting all bakers and dessert enthusiasts to enter a cake or a pie into the 11th annual Picton Fair Bake Off Challenge on Saturday September 8, 2018.
