Ontario’s oldest agricultural fairs

“We can’t wait to welcome you to our 185th Picton Fair!”

Welcome to one of Ontario’s oldest agricultural fairs

Welcome to the home of one of Ontario’s oldest agricultural fairs, presented by the Prince Edward Agricultural Society (established 1831) and held annually at the Picton Fairgrounds in Prince Edward County, Ontario.

The first fair in Prince Edward County took place in 1836. Horse races and prize livestock were big draws. For decades, the fair opened with a parade of school children. Through the hard years of the Depression, the fair had to be cancelled but it has continued ever since as an annual event, and has remained a good, old fashioned country fair and a place for old friends

Thank-you for attending the PEC Agricultural Society Drive Thru
